我的作品是對現實的神秘視覺，對圖像的形而上學解讀，以前看過的地方或情況。
我的繪畫中的影響很多，尤其來自日常生活中的圖像或過去的回憶。
意大利文藝復興時期的影響到現代和當代藝術，（從喬托和拉斐爾桑齊奧到喬治德奇里克的形而上學繪畫），這些作品在各個層面上調節我的創作。
除了好奇和反思之外，在我的畫作中，我主要試圖傳達寧靜，在當代生活的混亂節奏中，情緒越來越難以實現。我所創造的主題很重要，但我的作品不僅受內容的約束。我試圖刺激觀眾創造自己的個人意義或只是簡單地享受我的工作，而不依賴作品的背景信息。
當然，閱讀我的畫的關鍵是標題，與工作相關的事物可以打開無限的反思可能性。我相信，只有當藝術品迫使我們思考時才能定義藝術品，並對我們正在觀察的內容給出我們自己的個人解釋。

My work is an enigmatic vision of reality, a metaphysical interpretation of images, places or situations previously seen.
Influences in my paintings are many and derive especially from daily life images or memories from the past.
There are influences from the Italian Renaissance to modern and contemporary art, (from Giotto and Raphael Sanzio to Giorgio de Chirico's metaphysical paintings), which conditioned my creations at various levels.
In addition to curiosity and reflection, in my paintings I try to transmit mainly serenity, a mood more and more difficult to achieve in the chaotic rhythms of contemporary life.
The subject of what I create is important, but my work is not only bound by the content. I try to stimulate the viewer to create their own personal meaning
or to simply enjoy my work, without relying on background information. Surely, a key to the reading of my paintings is the title, that correlated with the work can open infinite possibilities of reflection.
I believe that an artwork can be defined as such only when it forces us to think, and to give our own personal interpretation of what we are observing.

Carlo Mirabasso was born in Tivoli (province of Rome), in 1959. In 1979 he received his diploma from the I° Art High School Ripetta in Rome. In the 1980s and ’90s, in addition to painting, he worked in the field of advertising design and illustration, following a path that would lead him to make a name for himself as a professional artist. In the early 1990s he began painting his first metaphysical compositions, perfecting a personal pictorial technique on wood panels, which would become fundamental for his research. Since 1996 e has devoted himself exclusively to painting. He takes parts in shows and has exhibited his work in Rome, London, Auckland ( New Zealand), Marbella (Spain), Providence (USA), Taipei (Taiwan). His studio is in Bastia Umbra, Assisi.
